New River is a moderate to fast grower with an incredibly thick flowering habit. The bougainvillea-industry standard for purple, this variety is a staple item for landscapers in South Florida, hence her alias name ‘Palm Beach’.  Its freely branching, dense growth pattern makes it ideal for use as hedges, overhangs, and in areas that require complete and total coverage. Both bracts and leaves are small and pointed.
